Authorizing AudioFinder

After purchasing AudioFinder you will need to authorize it to run on your computer. AudioFinder uses a Request Code/Authorization Code system for authorization, think of it like a lock and a key. You will still be able to use AudioFinder while waiting for your Authorization Code. Note: each computer requires a unique Authorization Code, however you can request as many Authorization Codes as you need for all your personal computers.

1.) Launch AudioFinder and click Authorize or Request Code

2.) If you have purchased AudioFinder in the following panel click YES

3.) Click Request Code to open your default email application and create a message requesting your code.

Note: if you use a web browser for email or have any trouble with your mail application, click Copy Code to Clipboard and then manually create an email message, paste your Request Code in the message and send it to software@icedaudio.com

4.) Now you're ready to send your Request Code to software@icedaudio.com

5.) Usually within 24 hours you will get an email reply with your Authorization Code from Iced Audio. When your code arrives, go to the AudioFinder menu and click Authorize.

Note: sometimes there are problems with ISPs tagging legitimate email as spam and deleting it before you ever get a chance to read it. If you have waited for more than 24 hours this is probably what is happening. In that case you can use the Iced Audio Forum and paste your request there.

6.) Enter your Authorization Code into the top field and click OK.

Your Authorization Code it will work forever on the computer that created the original Request Code. Even if you reformat your hard drive and install a new version of Mac OS X, the code will still work, so hang on to it. The code is tied to the computer hardware and not the system software.

Troubleshooting Codes: Are you entering the code on the same computer that generated the original code? The codes are matched and each computer will have a different code.

7.) Authorization Complete. Enjoy using AudioFinder!
