Feature Request: Playback behaviour
  • It would be great to have an option for AF to resume playback from where it has been stopped - like a tape recorder. This could easily be accomplished by a switch in the Quick Look window and/or a shortcut to toggle from one state to the other.
  • it works the way it does now because people use it as a test for samplers.
imagine you have file with multiple samples and you want to find which one to extract and use.
a tape recorder won't work for that, it needs to work the way it does for that reason.
  • Makes sense and it's the way I use AF 90% of the time. I just find Finder Selection Mode so handy that I often don't bother using iTunes when quickly going through songs on the hard drive for example. That's why I posted the request. I am aware that it's not the typical way people use AF so it won't make sense to add it.

I am so pleased with the way you are implementing requests and improvements and this one is not a big deal at all.
  • I may add a preference to do either sampler style (what's current) and tape style (what you requesting)
  • Maybe only adding a pause button would be enough
