Navigating to parent directory
  • When using the browser, how do you navigate to the parent directory? I've searched the manual and keyboard shortcuts but can't find the solution.

Ideally, apple and the up arrow would achieve this like in the OSX finder.
  • Also, the breadcrumb navigation doesn't seem to work when viewing a directory. Clicking on a parent directory doesn't do anything.

    I'm running 5.4.5.
  • Can you show me a screen shot of what you mean because I don't understand the question,
  • This is what I described here:

If I'm in Drums/Snares/Acoustic and want to get to Drums/Snares there isn't a key command for this.

In the OSX Finder, you can navigate to parent or child directories using Cmd + up or down arrow. It would be a nice addition and something that I believe users are accustomed to.
  • try this it works when in the list view, the column view is no go, something to with the mac os x apis.

  • Awesome, thank you. That definitely works.

Is the key command cmd + down arrow being used for anything else? If not, would it be possible to assign it to opening the currently selected directory?

So, cmd + up goes up and cmd + down goes down?
  • Just hit the Return/Enter key to go into a folder.
  • I see you added cmd + up. thank you.
