In the Sidebar there is now a Dropbox item which will allow you to browse your Dropbox account. Click a sound in the Dropbox file list and it will download to the Audio Downloads Folder you set in the Preferences. Use the "Upload to Dropbox" item in the File menu or context menu to transmit it. AudioFinder will not stream and play sounds from Dropbox, they must be downloaded first, but I think I've made that pretty easy.
So far so good…no issues to speak of.. I'd love to think of something negative to say..God damn it.. it blew up!!!, it.. so far iot's just working…lol..how's that?
Personally I'm not a Dropbox user. I use Soundcloud, but I had a lot of email requests for this. The work I did in it will also payoff in expanding the Soundcloud support.
sound cloud is cool - actually you sort of introduced me to it!
( and AF introduced me to FLAC as well!- I had a client in china - that FLAC really saved us on the FTP across ye old great barrier firewall can be very slow! FLAC saved the day! )
I already have drop box installed - but I find it annoying! I havent paid for it ( I have an FTP and Idisk so far )
if a client "shares" a folder with masses in it rather than "linking " a file it can alert you to death! ( storage limit exceeded )
you have to "delete" their stuff.. its a bit dumb? ( or is it me?! ) if you want to upload anything for someone else in this situation,
and some clients create a folder for every file they want to share... ( again annoying! as you have a million folders you have to delete)
I guess its different users stuffing it up for me? - drop box ettiquette!
( in all instances they should just email a link.. but clients can be lazy dumba$$es who dont like to be told anything .... we're paying you now shut up! LOL )
When I click the Dropbox icon I get this: Error Domain=dropbox.com Code=401 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (dropbox.com error 401.)" UserInfo=0x10ed75680 {path=/, error=Token is disabled or invalid}
Still a no-go. I might not fully understand the procedure. I just launched Audiofinder and clicked the Dbx icon. I then got the error message but still got an internet popup directing to the Dropbox site. It was asking me to link AF to Dropbox site. Which I did click "yes". Then I clicked the "show audiofinder button and it took me back to AF on my comp. I then clicked the Dropbox icon again but I still got the error message.
I also lost my "Free" - "Auto" - "MIDI" knobs. They all still work but they don't have the same icon which would be highlighted when enabled. They simply show as text.
