Added auto-saving (caching) of Scans and Scan Sets!
Here's how this works. Like normal you navigate to folder and then click Scan or click on a Scan Set and it will scan. However, it will automatically save the results. So the next time you click on it, you get the saved results instead of rescanning. To force a rescan Double Click the item or click the Refresh button.
The next thing is make Scans work like Scan Sets, you will be able to drag a scan to a Group and then have cached results with a double click for refresh.
Mountain Lion work is tough, they changed Xcode pretty big...
altho I would request not a dble click for refresh tho - I'm getting a bit twitchy and do that by accident quite a lot ( its my wacom pen set up )
just my personal pref - cos some of those scans take ages!!!!
maybe the pulldown as it is fine?
mountain lion sounds scary! I havent bothered going beyond snow leopard,,, it aint broke for so dont fix it ( saying that it is broke! cos my spotlight keeps on stopping working... )
:( - just double clicked by accident on the whole library scanset..
please wait :(
anyone else do doble clicks by accident? I think its either my RSI/arthritus or wacom tablet set up. ( wacom is good fro precise control tho! )
also noticed that when removing stuff from side bar,,, you might right click and on an item but it's not selecting the item you clicked on - rather the item that was selected previously...
still have to go via the library to groups tho.. - I guess I have too many scans in library/ too many sidebar items ? so sometimes not easy to drag the scan set where I want ( maybe I can delete some? )
if I make a scan set using right click - make scan set - the scanset is default "untitled" so still need to open up the scan set setup..
probably will just use the new method now :-)
be great to have search preservation,,'
would it be easy to have a key stroke to jump thru the list of keyword searches ( not search result ? but search this "string" in this list? )
It should work smoothly. You should be able to drag either the Scan "Blah" item or a Scan "Blah" Set item to a group and have caching. And anytime you scan the same folder from the normal Scan "Blah" item it should first try and load the cache of it (single click) or else (double click) to scan.
