Hi Iced - I'm new to AudioFinder & this forum, but so far AF has been a huge help to my workflow - many thanks!
However, I'm having trouble working with tags/metadata with multiple files selected. It seems like whenever I select multiple files, Audiofinder defaults to displaying "Multiple Values" for all fields, even if the files in question contain the same metadata for any particular field. For instance, if I select three files that are all 80BPM, I'd expect to be able to see this info represented in the BPM field, but it's not. Likewise, if I select 3 files that are all tagged "Action" and "Suspense", I would expect to be able to see these tags represented and be able to append/unappend tags from all of them, but again, AF simply displays "Multiple Values". Is the functionality that I'm after possible?
Let me know if you need me to clarify anything, and thanks in advance. -Sam
Hi, I understand the issue, it's actually very complex to present that level of ambiguity to the user. If AF showed a union of all tags users would expect that all files would have the exact same tags. Which may not be the case. The reason it appends because it's clear that it won't replace. It's a tough problem to express in easy to grok user interface.
